This work has the aim to analyse the main causes of hamstring injuries in sprinters. It is based on the analysis of the biomechanics of running and on the phases of periodization of training toghether with the research of injury prevention strategies to apply in physical prepararion. Incorrect running mechanics and muscle imbalances between hip flexors and extensors as well as knee extensors and flexors are analyzed as possible injury causes. The suggestion for injury prevention strategies is mainly based on the analysis of the effectiveness of agility, strenght and running drills and exercises, as well as on precautions to adopt in the macrocycles of periodization.
Questo elaborato ha lo scopo di analizzare le principali cause di infortunio ai muscoli ischiocrurali negli atleti della disciplina dello sprint. Si basa su un' analisi biomeccanica della corsa e sulle fasi della periodizzazione dell'allenamento in concomitanza con la ricerca di strategie di prevenzione da applicare nella preparazione fisica. Come cause di infortunio vengono analizzate la scorretta tecnica di corsa e gli squilibri muscolari tra i muscoli flessori ed estensori di coscia e gamba. La proposta di strategie di prevenzione invece si basa principalmente sull'analisi dell'efficacia di esercizi di agilità, forza e di corsa e sugli accorgimenti da adottare nei macrocicli della preparazione.
