In this thesis work, some interesting applications of Cyanuric Chloride in various fields are reported ranging from the synthesis of small organic molecules, such as alkyl, acyl halides and nitrile, to molecules of pharmaceutical and industrial interest (herbicides, flame retardants, dyes, to mention some). In particular, it has been seen how, thanks to its three sites that can be replaced sequentially by simply controlling the reaction temperature, CC can be used as a "scaffold" for the construction of complex molecules and in the anchoring of functional molecules on the surfaces of materials such as cellulose and porous semiconductors. In this regard, two applications of Cyanuric Chloride have been reported: 1) as a linker between a porphyrin unit and the cellulose surface, to produce a photosensitizer used in antimicrobial photodynamic therapy, and 2) as a linker between a porphyrin dyad with the surface of titania to produce a dye-sensitized solar cell.

Abstract
In this regard, two applications of Cyanuric Chloride have been reported: 1) as a linker between a porphyrin unit and the cellulose surface, to produce a photosensitizer used in antimicrobial photodynamic therapy, and 2) as a linker between a porphyrin dyad with the surface of titania to produce a dye-sensitized solar cell.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
