In finding new anticancer agents that overcome the limitations of platinum compounds, many research groups have focused their attention other transition metals. This thesis deals with the synthesis of butadienyl, allyl and olefin palladium complexes containing PTA derivatives. The effects of the different organic fragments and their stability were analysed. Moreover, the effect of several cationic PTA derivatives as ancillary ligands was investigated. Finally, stability tests in physiological solution were carried out. All products were then characterised by NMR spectroscopy. In other studies, a high anticancer activity was found for this class of compounds: a strong encouragement to continue the research in this field.

Abstract
In finding new anticancer agents that overcome the limitations of platinum compounds, many research groups have focused their attention other transition metals. This thesis deals with the synthesis of butadienyl, allyl and olefin palladium complexes containing PTA derivatives. The effects of the different organic fragments and their stability were analysed. Moreover, the effect of several cationic PTA derivatives as ancillary ligands was investigated. Finally, stability tests in physiological solution were carried out. All products were then characterised by NMR spectroscopy. In other studies, a high anticancer activity was found for this class of compounds: a strong encouragement to continue the research in this field.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
