An overview of hybrid rocket propulsion with a focus on its chemical aspects. The thesis will present hybrid rocket propulsion in general and it will look at its advantages and disadvantages. A detailed discussion on the main propellant combinations will be followed by the topic of instability, where a set of causes will be introduced. A list of possible solutions, such as the use of additive manufacturing and paraffin grains, will be presented.
Una panoramica sulla propulsione a razzo ibrida con un focus sui suoi aspetti chimici. La tesi presenterà la propulsione ibrida in generale e ne esaminerà vantaggi e svantaggi. Una discussione dettagliata sulle principali combinazioni di propellenti sarà seguita dal tema dell'instabilità, dove verrà introdotto un insieme di possibili cause. Verrà presentato un elenco di possibili soluzioni, come l'uso dell’ additive manufacturing e dei grani in paraffina.
