The dissertation also analyses the case study of Amsterdam, with a particular emphasis on the city marketing and re-branding policies implemented in 2004. Additionally, the study sheds light on new rules that have been introduced in recent months.
La presente tesi affronta il tema del city marketing e del city branding illustrandone, come prima cosa, la storia dall’avvento nel XIX secolo fino ai giorni d’oggi. Introduce, inoltre, le politiche normalmente applicate per svolgere questi interventi e presenta degli esempi di realtà che hanno affrontato questi processi. Primo tra questi, viene affrontato il caso di Amsterdam e, in particolare, le recenti norme attuate nella città oltre ai celebri interventi di city marketing e city (re)branding messi in atto per rilanciare la capitale olandese.
