This paper addresses the topic of the locus of control and the concept of self-efficacy, not only in a psychological context but particularly in relation to the phenomenon of tourism and the motivations that lead a traveler to choose one destination over another. The theory of locus of control (LOC) delineates, in psychological terms, the manner in which an individual believes that the events in their life are the result of their own behaviors or actions, or, conversely, are influenced by external causes beyond their control (Rotter, 1954). Perceived self-efficacy, a key cognitive process identified by psychologist Bandura, analyzes human agency, which is the awareness of one's capability to master specific activities, situations, and aspects of their psychological or social functioning. The objective of this study is to determine the extent to which these behavioral modalities influence travelers' choices, with particular attention to motivations in tourism decision-making and Maslow's hierarchy of needs, conceived to assist individuals in understanding and fulfilling their own needs.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine the extent to which these behavioral modalities influence travelers' choices, with particular attention to motivations in tourism decision-making and Maslow's hierarchy of needs, conceived to assist individuals in understanding and fulfilling their own needs.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
