This thesis aims to investigate and examine three films in contemporary American Cinema that deal with social issues that are strongly felt in today's America. The films analyzed belong to the thriller genre, although throughout the thesis an attempt will be made to explain that today, more than ever before, it is more correct to say that films weave multiple genres within their diegesis.
La tesi si propone di indagare ed esaminare tre film del Cinema americano contemporaneo che affrontano tematiche sociali molto sentiti nell'America di oggi. I film analizzati sono appartenenti al genere del thriller, per quanto nel corso della tesi si cercherà di spiegare che oggi, più che mai, è più corretto dire che i film intrecciano più generi all'interno della loro diegesi.
