La pena di morte: i soggetti e i racconti. Un'analisi sociologica.

In this thesis we will analyze the phenomenon of the death penalty, or that penalty that consists in depriving the condemned of his own life by analyzing it through history, current events and the effects it has in Western society. We will get to the core of the issue through real cases and testimonies collecting the voices of those who have found themselves or are now on death row. We will focus on the psycho-physical conditions of the prisoners who come to commit such heinous crimes and on the conditions they find themselves living inside the prisons, giving life to a framework of abuses, harassment and deprivation of rights. So much so, that often the possibility of execution comes in second place in face of such violent conditions.

In questa tesi di laurea andremo ad analizzare il fenomeno della pena di morte, ovvero quella pena che consiste nel privare il condannato della sua stessa vita analizzandola attraverso la storia, l’attualità e gli effetti che ha nella società Occidentale. Entreremo nel vivo attraverso casi reali e testimonianze raccogliendo le voci di chi si è trovato o si trova ora nel braccio della morte. Ci soffermeremo sulle condizioni psico-fisiche dei detenuti che arrivano a compiere crimini tanto efferati e sulle condizioni che si trovano a vivere all’interno delle carceri dando vita ad un quadro di soprusi, angherie e privazioni dei diritti. Tanto che spesso l’eventualità di essere giustiziati passa in secondo piano dinanzi alle violenze.
