This thesis attempts to explain the concepts of Data Driven Approach and Industry 4.0, with the aim to highlight the importance of big data and the figure of the Data Analyst, necessary to be able to interpret those data to derive useful information for the purpose of implementing solutions to improve the efficiency and efficacy of companies’ supply chain process; all this supported by a practical example related to transportation damages.
