This thesis is dedicated to examining the significance of packaging within the context of luxury companies and sheds light on the industry's lack of recognition regarding its importance. By exploring the packaging supply chain in luxury companies, this research aims to emphasize the need for establishing a clear and precise packaging supply chain. Specifically, the study highlights the pivotal role of packaging suppliers within the upstream supply chain of luxury companies. However, the research findings reveal a lack of coordination between packaging suppliers and production activities, resulting in inefficiencies and redundant packaging production. To provide a concrete context for the study, a renowned luxury fashion company with a rich history is chosen as a reference point. Considering the brand's historical legacy and unwavering pursuit of excellence, it becomes evident that packaging plays a vital role in its success. Packaging serves as a tangible representation of the brand's values, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, contributing significantly to the overall luxury experience for customers. Surprisingly, despite the brand's recognition and accomplishments, there appears to be a lack of emphasis on the importance of packaging within the company itself. This has resulted in confusion surrounding packaging processes, leading to inefficiencies, and missed opportunities. However, as the research establishes, packaging plays a pivotal role in conveying the brand's essence and values to customers. To tackle the challenges of redundant production and poor collaboration within the packaging supply chain, a solution is proposed in the form of a tool. This tool aims to streamline production forecasting, planning, and collaboration processes while simultaneously enhancing sustainability and efficiency within the packaging supply chain. By implementing this tool, the company can overcome the existing hurdles, optimize its packaging processes, and reinforce its brand image and competitiveness in the luxury market. The proposed tool will provide the company with improved visibility and control over the packaging supply chain, enabling better collaboration and communication between packaging suppliers and production activities. It will facilitate accurate forecasting of packaging needs, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and minimizing waste.

Abstract
It will facilitate accurate forecasting of packaging needs, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and minimizing waste.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
