The following paper deals with nutraceuticals, which are components contained in food that, thanks to their positive effects on the body, are useful for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. In the first part they are examined from a conceptual, legislative and economic point of view to try to better understand them. In particular, the second part analyzes two nutraceutical products: bromelain and lycopene which have shown to have multiple range of application and are contained in many commercially available products.
Nel seguente elaborato vengono trattati i nutraceutici, ossia dei componenti presenti all’interno degli alimenti che, grazie ai loro effetti positivi sull’organismo, sono utili per la prevenzione e il trattamento di diverse malattie. Nella prima parte vengono esaminati non solo da un punto di vista concettuale, ma anche legislativo ed economico per cercare di comprenderli al meglio. Nello specifico, la seconda parte analizza due prodotti nutraceutici - bromelina e licopene - che hanno dimostrato di avere molteplici campi di applicazione e sono, ad oggi, contenuti in molte preparazioni presenti in commercio.
