This thesis analyses the concept of political representation in Hans Kelsen's philosophy of law. Some of his works published between 1907 and 1932 are considered, through which Kelsen's complex idea of parliamentary activity and the role of political parties can be delineated. Both are underpinned by an innovative idea of the people and the conception of political representation as a necessary fiction, useful for the proper functioning of democracy.
