Light quark Yukawa couplings are so far tested very little at the LHC. Current bounds and HL-LHC sensitivity studies show that the first generation quark Yukawa couplings can be constrained only up to several order of magnitude with respect to their Standard Model value. In this thesis, concrete ultraviolet realisations of large deviations in the quark Yukawa couplings will be constructed and studied under the point of view of electroweak precision tests, flavour probes and direct searches for new particles at the LHC.

Abstract
Light quark Yukawa couplings are so far tested very little at the LHC. Current bounds and HL-LHC sensitivity studies show that the first generation quark Yukawa couplings can be constrained only up to several order of magnitude with respect to their Standard Model value. In this thesis, concrete ultraviolet realisations of large deviations in the quark Yukawa couplings will be constructed and studied under the point of view of electroweak precision tests, flavour probes and direct searches for new particles at the LHC.File in questo prodotto:
