The aim of the following thesis is to demonstrate how the figure of the person in charge, according to current accident prevention legislation, is incomplete regarding his main task: the supervision. Through the tools made available by Behaviour Based Safety, however, it is possible to help the person in charge to create a virtuous figure, embodied in the Safety Leader, who does not stop only at the supervision of his subordinates, but also extends his virtuosity to monitoring and externalising safe behaviour within his department. There are numerous studies in the literature that have highlighted the effectiveness of the B-BS protocol, but none in relation to the figure of the person in charge. For this reason, through an experimental approach, an analysis of multiple factors will be carried out, including the correlation with events and the holding of departmental meetings, in order to define whether the leadership exercised by the Safety Leader leads to an improvement in the perception of safety by operators or not. The purpose of this study is to check whether the B-BS model implemented in Luxottica Group has strengthened or not the figure of the Safety Leader through the use of various instruments, including an analysis of the events occurring in his area, highlighting whether they have improved or not.
Il seguente elaborato di tesi si propone di dimostrare come la figura del preposto, secondo la normativa antinfortunistica vigente, sia incompleta per ciò che concerne il suo compito principale: la vigilanza. Attraverso gli strumenti messi a disposizione dalla Behavior Based Safety, però, si può aiutare il preposto a delineare una figura virtuosa, impersonificata nel Safety Leader, che non si fermi solo alla vigilanza sui propri subordinati bensì che estenda il proprio virtuosismo anche nel monitoraggio e nell’esternalizzazione dei comportamenti sicuri all’interno del suo reparto. In letteratura sono numerose le ricerche che hanno evidenziato l’efficacia del protocollo B-BS ma, mai nessuna in relazione alla figura del preposto. Proprio per questo attraverso un approccio di tipo sperimentale si andrà a svolgere un’analisi di molteplici fattori che comprendono la correlazione con gli eventi e svolgimento delle riunioni di reparto al fine di definire se attraverso la Leadership esercitata dal Safety Leader vi sia un miglioramento a livello di percezione della sicurezza da parte degli operatori oppure no. Attraverso questo elaborato si desidera verificare se il modello B-BS implementato presso il gruppo Luxottica, abbia potenziato o meno la figura del preposto (Safety Leader) attraverso diversi strumenti, tra cui l’analisi degli eventi avvenuti nella sua area evidenziando se gli stessi siano migliorati o al contrario non siano state individuate delle variazioni positive.
