Sistemi di equazioni non lineari: introduzione alla loro risoluzione numerica mediante i metodi di punto fisso e Newton-Raphson

The topic of this thesis is about solving systems of nonlinear equations (systems with at most three equations) through the following iterative methods: fixed point scheme and Newton-Raphson scheme. Some test cases will then be implemented and solved in MATLAB. Finally, we will study two real-life application test cases, including the operation of GPS (Global Positioning System).

L'argomento della tesi riguarda la risoluzione di sistemi di equazioni non lineari (sistemi con al massimo tre equazioni) attraverso i seguenti metodi iterativi: schema di punto fisso e schema di Newton-Raphson. Verranno poi implementati e risolti alcuni casi test in MATLAB. Infine, studieremo due casi test di applicazione reali, tra cui il funzionamento del GPS (Global Positioning System).
