Il sogno europeo di Alcide De Gasperi e Altiero Spinelli

This degree thesis focuses on the figures of Alcide De Gasperi and Altiero Spinelli and their dream of a united Europe, an essential prerequisite for maintaining peace. After highlighting how their formation and their own political backgrounds, so different from each other, have contributed to the formation of the respective cornerstones of pro-European thought, a critical comparison will be proposed between the objectives, actions and ambitions of these two very important figures , such as to be considered as the founding fathers of the European Union.

La presente tesi di laurea si concentra sulle figure di Alcide De Gasperi e Altiero Spinelli e del loro sogno di un'Europa unita, presupposto essenziale per il mantenimento della pace. Dopo aver messo in evidenza come la loro formazione e il proprio background politico, così diversi fra loro, abbiano contribuito alla formazione dei rispettivi capisaldi del pensiero europeista, verrà proposto un confronto critico fra obiettivi, le azioni e le ambizioni di queste due figure tanto importanti, tali da essere considerati come i padri fondatori dell'Unione Europea.
