THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT IS TO SIZE A MECHANICAL WORKSHOP AND TO SIMULATE THE FLEXIBLE TRANSPORTS WITHIN IT. THE WORKSHOP IS DIVIDED INTO 4 WORKING DEPARTMENTS AND 1 DEPARTMENT DEDICATED TO PRODUCT PACKAGING. THERE ARE 4 FAMILIES OF PRODUCTS TO BE PROCESSED AND THEY HAVE CROSSED TECHNOLOGICAL FLOWS. THROUGH THE DISCRETE EVENT SIMULATIONS (WITH THE ANYLOGIC SOFTWARE) TWO POSSIBLE CONFIGURATIONS OF THE FLEXIBLE TRANSPORTS WERE TESTED: 3 AGVs vs 5 OPERATORS, AND IT WAS POSSIBLE TO CARRY OUT ANY IMPROVEMENT SCENARIOS.
