This paper aims to analyze the degree of self-other agreement within the patient-therapist relationship, making use of the new instruments included from within the DSM-5 AMPD dimensional model, namely the PID-5 and the PID-5-IRF, designed to assess the maladaptive personality traits of the individual examined. In the course of the first chapter, a general overview of what personality is is presented, starting with the healthy and then moving on to the pathological. In the second, the main Personality Disorders in the new textbook are described, going into detail about each one, addressing the psychopathological issues related to them and their development throughout the individual's life. In the second chapter, on the other hand, it is possible to take note of the main studies concerning self-other agreement, in clinical and nonclinical settings, analyzing the differences in the degree of agreement between target individual and common informants (family members, spouses or friends) in assessing the target's personality. Next, the main studies on selfother agreement between patient and therapist are presented, analyzing the different dynamics involved in this process.
