Voluntary termination of pregnancy is an issue of profound social and political importance that continues to provoke intense discussion and debate in many countries around the world. The issue of its legalisation or restriction, the policies surrounding it and public opinion change over time, and this represents one of the most significant challenges for governments and civil society. This paper aims to contribute to the understanding of this topic by providing an in-depth analysis focusing mainly on two European countries: Italy and Spain. This thesis aims to examine the evolution of abortion law in Spain and Italy, with a close look at the controversies and challenges related to this topic. Despite the vast literature on feminist issues related to this topic, I believe it is still underestimated in society, perhaps because it is still somewhat uncomfortable or because a taboo surrounding the issue persists.

Despite the vast literature on feminist issues related to this topic, I believe it is still underestimated in society, perhaps because it is still somewhat uncomfortable or because a taboo surrounding the issue persists.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
