Flow, spiritualità, orientamento alla felicità e soddisfazione per la vita in adolescenza

Happiness, flow, spirituality and life satisfaction are some of the constructs inside the positive psychology. This paper investigates the relationships among these variables in a sample of 120 adolescents. Happiness was analyzed in terms of orientation to happiness through three factors pleasure, engagement and meaning and an overall factor containing the three dimensions. The sample shows positive relationships between life satisfaction and the four orientation to happiness scales, spirituality and, weakly with flow. Spirituality positively correlates with the orientation to happiness dimensions, but not with flow. Flow is positively linked with the specific factors and the general factor of the orientation to happiness. A mediation model was highlighted in which flow (only indirectly) and spirituality positively predict life satisfaction through mediation of the general orientation to happiness factor.

Felicità, flow, spiritualità e soddisfazione per la vita sono alcuni dei costrutti affrontati all’interno della psicologia positiva. In questo elaborato si indagano le relazioni tra queste variabili in un campione di 120 adolescenti. La felicità è stata analizzata nei termini di orientamento alla felicità attraverso tre fattori pleasure, engagement e meaning e un fattore complessivo che contiene le tre dimensioni. Il campione mostra relazioni positive tra life satisfaction e le quattro scale dell’orientamento alla felicità, la spiritualità e, debolmente col flow. La spiritualità correla positivamente con le dimensioni dell’orientamento alla felicità, ma non col flow. Quest’ultimo correla positivamente con i fattori specifici e il fattore generale dell’orientamento alla felicità. È stato evidenziato un modello di mediazione in cui il flow (solo indirettamente) e la spiritualità predicono positivamente la life satisfaction attraverso la mediazione del fattore generale di orientamento alla felicità.
