Urban green is an important source of biodiversity in anthropized environments. In particular, in the Italian context, an important role, in this sense, is played by historical parks of the villas which characterize the landscape composition of the area. Despite their invaluable historical, cultural and biodiversity conservation value, today historic parks aren’t sufficiently valued and are very often characterized by carelessness in their management, and poor knowledge about their peculiarities by the citizens. This thesis aims to contribute to raise the awareness of the local population regarding the important role played by the Villa Bolasco Park in Castelfranco Veneto (TV) in protecting and promotion biodiversity within a highly anthropized context such as the Po Valley, highlighting the richness of species of herbaceous plants composing the park, which represent a source of biodiversity for the surrounding area. Through floristic surveys, 109 herbaceous species present in the park were estimated and then reported in a catalogue.

Abstract
Through floristic surveys, 109 herbaceous species present in the park were estimated and then reported in a catalogue.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
