Autismo e inclusione museale: studio di buone pratiche per l'accessibilità

The main focus of this thesis is on the topic of museum accessibility for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), particularly school-age children. The objective of the research is to analyze the proposals in the museum sector of accessible pathways, going to focus on what until now is offered to ASD children during visits to museums and then try to develop a project that could improve their experience of fruition. In addition, the focus wants to be on what might be good practices that museums can adopt to ensure that anyone can walk through the doors of cultural spaces and enjoy them, eliminating the barriers that often still characterize museums.

La tesi ha come focus principale il tema della fruizione museale per le persone con Disturbo dello Spettro dell'Autismo (ASD), in particolare bambini in età scolare. L'obiettivo della ricerca è analizzare le proposte in campo museale di percorsi accessibili, andando a focalizzare l’attenzione su ciò che ad oggi viene offerto a bambini ASD durante le visite nei musei, per poi provare a sviluppare un progetto che possa migliorare la loro esperienza di fruizione. Inoltre, l’attenzione vuole essere posta su quelle che potrebbero essere le buone pratiche che i musei possono adottare per far si che chiunque possa varcare le porte degli spazi culturali e fruirne, eliminando le barriere che spesso ancora oggi caratterizzano i musei.
