La Venere di Cirene: scoperta, musealizzazione, restituzione e dispersione di un'opera d'arte contesa tra Italia e Libia

In this work we examine the Venus of Cyrene, a Roman statue found in Italian Libya in 1913, and the events that characterize its path from discovery to dispersion. The work is divided into three parts, related to the historical context, the patrimonialization in Italy and the restitution to Libya.

In questo elaborato si prende in esame la Venere di Cirene, statua di epoca romana rinvenuta nella Libia italiana nel 1913, e le vicende che caratterizzano il suo percorso dalla scoperta alla dispersione. Il lavoro è diviso in tre parti, relative al contesto storico, la patrimonializzazione in Italia e la restituzione alla Libia.
