"L'acquisizione del linguaggio: modalità e dinamiche di elaborazione e sviluppo degli input linguistici"

The present paper aims to deepen some linguistic and psychological aspects related to the mechanism of language acquisition: the work will analyze modalities and variables that lead to infants linguistic development. The subject, currently under the examination and study by linguists and scholars, is located in an area between psychology and linguistics; it is articulated and complex, that is why the thesis has the objective of gathering information from previous research projects to create a cohesive document which can be as least fragmentary as possible and help to better understand this research topic. In the first chapter there is a first introduction to human language and to the main mechanisms of its acquisition, from exposure to inputs to the way they are received and to the psycholinguistic predisposition of human beings used to store the linguistic information received. At the end of the chapter, the two main ways in which the child processes and develops linguistic stimuli to which he is subjected are briefly presented: learning according to a statistical method (statistical learning) and learning based on linguistic rules (rule learning). In the second and third chapters there will be an in-depth and isolated development of the same methods, making reference to previous research projects to extract the information that are stored in this work, to then conclude with a comparison of the two theories and an assumption on a coexistence of both mechanisms or the predominance of one over the other.

Questo lavoro nasce dalla volontà di approfondire alcuni aspetti linguistici e psicologici legati al meccanismo di acquisizione del linguaggio da parte dell'essere umano: verranno, quindi, analizzate le modalità e le variabili che portano allo sviluppo del linguaggio del bambino. L'argomento, attualmente in fase di studio da parte di linguisti e ricercatori, si trova in un'area tra la psicologia e la linguistica ed è in sé molto articolato e complesso, ragion per cui la tesi ha come obiettivo raccogliere informazioni dalle ricerche svolte per creare un documento coeso che possa essere il meno frammentario possibile e d'aiuto per la comprensione di questo tema di ricerca. Nel primo capitolo si ha una prima introduzione al linguaggio umano e ai meccanismi principali della sua acquisizione, dall'esposizione agli input alla modalità di ricezione degli stessi e alle predisposizioni psicolinguistiche dell'essere umano di immagazzinare le informazioni linguistiche ricevute. A fine capitolo vengono poi, brevemente, presentate le due modalità principali secondo le quali il bambino elabora e sviluppa gli stimoli linguistici a cui è sottoposto: l'apprendimento secondo un metodo statistico (Statistical Learning) e l'apprendimento basato sulle regole linguistiche (Rule Learning). Si avrà uno sviluppo approfondito e isolato delle stesse nel secondo e nel terzo capitolo, con riferimenti agli studi di ricerca svolti, da cui sono state reperite le informazioni raggruppate in questo lavoro, per poi concludere con una comparazione delle due teorie e ipotesi su una eventuale coesistenza di entrambi i meccanismi.
