Indicatori di stress nell'orata Sparus aurata

Gilthead sea bream Sparus aurata is a teleost fish of the Sparidae family, found in the marine and brackish waters of the Mediterranean and in the Eastern Atlantic. It is a very important species in Mediterranean aquaculture. Farmed fish are usually subject-to stressful conditions that can affect the welfare of the organism. In this thesis we will try to analyze the different possible stress conditions, such as: temperature changes, salinity, ammonia and formation of social hierarchies.

L’orata Sparus aurata è un pesce teleosteo della famiglia Sparidae, diffusa nelle acque marine e salmastre del Mediterraneo e nell’Atlantico orientale. È una specie molto importante nell’acquacoltura mediterranea. Solitamente i pesci allevati sono soggetti a condizioni stressanti che possono influire sul benessere dell’organismo. In questo elaborato si cercherà di analizzare le diverse possibili condizioni di stress, come: variazioni di temperatura, salinità, ammoniaca, formazione di gerarchie sociali.
