This dissertation will analyze the theme of the house, focusing in particular on the poetics of Samanta Schweblin and her collection of short stories Seven empty houses. Starting from Gianluca Didino’s reflections on the house theme, then it will be possible to reason on the fall of it analyzed by the author in the collection Seven empty houses and in the novel Kentukis. Both of the texts that will be considered in this dissertation are united by a domestic context that will abruptly move away from the imaginary related to the house; Opposing to the intrusion of an external element inside the home where the characters' stories will be set, it will be a tangible sign of the feeling of global insecurity that characterizes the contemporary era. In Ketunkis, the unstability of which the author deals with will be represented by technology, which has become omnipresent, causing as a direct effect to smooth the boundaries between the intimate and private lives of the protagonists. In Seven empty houses you will notice how the personal traumas of the protagonists will take over their lives, ending up relegating them to the margins of their lives.

Abstract
In Seven empty houses you will notice how the personal traumas of the protagonists will take over their lives, ending up relegating them to the margins of their lives.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
