Combining Lean, Agile and digital validation based on Digital Twin for rapid Product Development in an Italian luxury fashion company

This thesis examines the new product development process in an Italian luxury fashion company, identifying the critical issues that contribute to an extended time to market. In order to increase process visibility, reduce handoffs, and consolidate the company's knowledge that is currently being lost, Disciplined Agile Delivery will be used, which combines Lean and Agile principles. To anticipate issues and reduce the time required for product validation, avoiding rework and physical tests, digital validation through Digital Twin will be employed. This approach provides upstream feedback during the prototyping phase.

Questa tesi analizza il processo di sviluppo nuovo prodotto in un'azienda dell'alta moda, identificandone le criticità che portano ad un allungamento del time to market. Per aumentare la visibilità nei processi, ridurre i passaggi di mano, consolidare la knowledge aziendale che attualmente viene persa verrà utilizzato il Disciplined Agile Delivery, che combina principi Lean e Agile. Per anticipare le problematiche e ridurre il tempo necessario a validare un prodotto, evitando ricircoli e test fisici, viene utilizzata la validazione digitale tramite Digital Twin, che fornisce feedback a monte durante la fase di prototipia.
