This master's thesis was carried out during an internship at Maserati within the quality department of the metrology division at the Modena plant, where the MC20 model is exclusively produced. In the introductory section, there is an in-depth exploration of the product and process of the Maserati MC20, which is essential for understanding the topics covered in the subsequent chapters. Next, instead, focuses on the quality management system within Maserati, with particular attention to the internal product and process key performance indicators (KPIs). The management of anomalies is then discussed, both at the preventive level through geometric monitoring and in-progress through the use of a standard methodology. Subsequently, advanced metrological tools implemented for measurement activities. The main focus of this thesis is the use of advanced metrological instruments, both for statistical geometric monitoring control plan performed on the bodyshells to prevent and anticipate potential issues that may occur on finished cars, and as a reactive approach focused on diagnosing real issues encountered in vehicles. These issues have been the subject of case studies in this thesis, where a diagnostic approach was adopted, including the definition of a measurement plan leading to the identification of causes and the implementation of corresponding corrective actions. In addition, the results provided inputs to improve the geometric control plan with objective reflections on product and process KPIs.

Abstract
In addition, the results provided inputs to improve the geometric control plan with objective reflections on product and process KPIs.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
