Physical activity in the preschool period and in the early school years plays a fundamental role in the complete development of children. Various studies show how, through movement, children establish connections with the environment and others, expressing emotions and forming their own identity. The purpose of this thesis is to examine gross motor development in 6-year-old children in primary school, focusing particularly on coordinative skills. This analysis is conducted by considering the potential variation in the quality of actions throughout the school year, taking into consideration the learning environment and educational perspectives of the primary school in which the students are. The analysed schools have respectively a more traditional form and a more contemporary one linked to the educational-didactic perspective of Outdoor Education.

Abstract
Physical activity in the preschool period and in the early school years plays a fundamental role in the complete development of children. Various studies show how, through movement, children establish connections with the environment and others, expressing emotions and forming their own identity. The purpose of this thesis is to examine gross motor development in 6-year-old children in primary school, focusing particularly on coordinative skills. This analysis is conducted by considering the potential variation in the quality of actions throughout the school year, taking into consideration the learning environment and educational perspectives of the primary school in which the students are. The analysed schools have respectively a more traditional form and a more contemporary one linked to the educational-didactic perspective of Outdoor Education.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
