The ecological crisis is a contemporary issue of paramount significance. Research carried out in the communication field has demonstrated that mass media plays a critical role in raising awareness and disseminating information about climate change and the ongoing ecological crisis. Despite their capacity to be influential platforms for the dissemination and discussion of climate change issues, social networks' effectiveness relies on the interaction of multiple psychological, social, and contextual factors. To promote informed and constructive debate, develop effective communication strategies, and encourage collective action to tackle climate change, it is necessary to understand how it is treated in social networks and the media. To achieve this understanding, it is essential to take a comprehensive approach.
