his thesis reports a dynamic and structural analysis of an amusement park machine, with the objective of carrying out, according to current regulations, the fatigue verification of a welded joint located in the attraction. Furthermore, a comparison is performed between the verification criterion that considers only the maximum voltage range of the load history, with the verification criterion that considers the variable applied voltage range, therefore using the Rainflow counting method and the hypothesis of cumulative damage, also known as the Palmgren-Miner hypothesis, for calculating damage. Both verification methods are described in the standard for the fatigue design of steel structures UNI EN 1993-1-9. The analysis process used began by generating a dynamic model using the MSC Adams software to determine the loads to which the component under examination is subject. Subsequently the discussion continues thanks to the use of the Straus7 software, where, given the previously determined loads, a finite element analysis is performed to determine which points, constituting the welded seam, present a greater criticality; to then conclude everything with the verification processes.

Abstract
his thesis reports a dynamic and structural analysis of an amusement park machine, with the objective of carrying out, according to current regulations, the fatigue verification of a welded joint located in the attraction. Subsequently the discussion continues thanks to the use of the Straus7 software, where, given the previously determined loads, a finite element analysis is performed to determine which points, constituting the welded seam, present a greater criticality; to then conclude everything with the verification processes.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
