In recent years, with globalization and internationalization English as a medium of instruction (EMI) has developed significantly. EMI is becoming a global trend, particularly in the Arabian Peninsula. This dissertation aims to investigate the perception and reaction of Arab Gulf students toward this phenomenon. It examines both the positive aspects and challenges encountered within the EMI program, as well as how it affects students' social and cultural lives. To collect data, an online survey was conducted among students enrolled in Gulf countries universities. The results showed that although students have a positive attitude toward EMI, they remain concerned that it may threaten their national identity and local language.
