The thesis focuses on death, defined and described as the only certainty of and in life but, at the same time, paradoxically as the primary cause of all uncertainty, insecurity and vulnerability of man. The Covid-19 pandemic context, discussed in the first chapter, is presented as a scenario of threat not only to physical well-being, but also to psychological well-being in both the adult and non-adult world. The Sars-Cov-2 virus represented a global reminder of the indispensability of death, implementing death anxiety and activating the defense mechanisms described by Terror Management Theory. the second chapter will focus on the target of this essay, the child, in particular the contemporary Western child, constantly at the mercy of online repression and the offline omnipresence of death. The concept of death, as various theories demonstrate, develops already in childhood, yet the child is assiduously and socially distanced from this reality, knowledge of which is vital. So it becomes essential to activate Death Education interventions, whose effectiveness in promoting well-being is widely demonstrated. The fourth chapter opens the second section of the thesis of an empirical nature in which the results achieved by the EDI4APP research project will be presented which combined the pandemic context, the target subject (the child) and the type of intervention (Death Education), all with the objective of helping the individual to make death and the emotions related to it speakable, enhancing life and oneself.

Abstract
The fourth chapter opens the second section of the thesis of an empirical nature in which the results achieved by the EDI4APP research project will be presented which combined the pandemic context, the target subject (the child) and the type of intervention (Death Education), all with the objective of helping the individual to make death and the emotions related to it speakable, enhancing life and oneself.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
