Work as a calling has become an emerging topic in the recent years. This research study explores the interplay between career calling in leaders and followers, with the role of trust, leader-member exchange (LMX), and support. Data was collected from 260 employees using various questionnaires. The study measured variables such as leader-member social exchange, career calling, need for calling, perceived supervisor support, trust, task performance, organizational citizenship behavior, and dyadic interaction. After analyzing the data, the study found that trust, LMX, and support play a moderating role in the relationship between leaders' career calling and followers' career calling. This suggests that the level of trust, the quality of leader-member exchange, and the level of support from supervisors impact the connection between leaders and followers in terms of their career calling. These findings have significant implications for organizations and leadership development. Leaders who understand the role of career calling and the importance of trust, LMX, and support can create a more engaged workforce. By fostering a sense of purpose and providing the necessary support, leaders can enhance employees' task performance and encourage organizational citizenship behavior.
