The thesis addresses the evolution of political communication in relation to the advent of new media and reflects on social evolution in response to these changes. Given the influence of American studies on the subject, the application framework of such strategies in the European context is outlined, with a specific focus on France. Here, the 2017 presidential campaign, involving Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, is considered as an empirical case. These two candidates are extremely different from each other in terms of personality and approach to society. This thesis particularly examines the presidential debate, where political communication remains anchored to theories dating back hundreds of years, with contemporary studies merely enriching an almost immutable field. Words, gestures, slogans, and tone of voice significantly characterize each candidate, constituting authentic messages for the listener. Thus, the campaign leading up to the election and the events following it are analyzed, considering the different impacts on various target groups and the results achieved.

Abstract
Thus, the campaign leading up to the election and the events following it are analyzed, considering the different impacts on various target groups and the results achieved.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
