Within the national and international debate, there is an increasing discussion about assessment and its methods applied to the different school levels. Among the various solutions, the practice of peer assessment, also known as peer review, is becoming more and more widespread. This practice regards the direct participation of students in the entire evaluation process: from developing criteria that define the quality of the tasks, to reviewing, elaborating, and providing feedback to their peers. This process leads to the improvement of students' evaluative and self-evaluative abilities and also benefits their learning. The experimentation presented was realised in a fourth-grade class of primary school, in which were implemented two cycles of peer assessment during the English (as foreign language) lessons. The aim was to investigate whether it could also improve linguistic and communicative skills. The results of this research align with national and international studies and demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the discussed practice.

Abstract
The results of this research align with national and international studies and demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the discussed practice.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
