Using the EPG instrument, I conducted a groundbreaking study on the feeding behavior of Aphis neri and Myzus persica in Mandevilla, shedding light on their plant-pest interactions. To further explore this relationship, I also evaluated the impact of Sivanto insecticide on the feeding behavior of Aphis nerii. Through a rigorous mortality test, I assessed the efficacy of eight different insecticides (Sivanto Prime, Epik, Closer, Afinto, Oikos, Relief, Prev-Am Plus, Silica gel) in controlling Aphis Neri.the result was Epic-closer and sivanto 100 % death after 48 hours-prev am 56% death after 48 hours-silica gel 37%death after 48 hours-afinito 35% death after 48 hours-relief 5 % and azadiractina 3% death after 48 hours. While insecticides are an effective tool for pest control in agriculture, they can have unintended consequences on beneficial organisms such as biocontrol agents. To address this concern, I tested the four insecticides (Sivanto Prime, Epik, Closer, and Afinto) that showed the highest efficacy in the mortality test on Aphis Nerii. Specifically, I evaluated the impact of these insecticides on three natural enemies of Aphis neri (1. Chrysoperla carnea, 2. Micromus angulatus, 3. Propylea quatordecimpunctata) to determine whether they caused any lethal effects on these beneficial organisms.the result was for chrisoperla carnea epic 93%-sivanto 67% - closer 60% and afinto 27% death after one week.for micromus angulatus closer –epik and sivanto 100% death after one week.and afinto 33% death after one week..for propylea quatrodecimpunctata epic 100%-sivanto 53%-closer 27 % and afinto 20 % death after one week.
