Oltre lo schermo: la costruzione della realtà nei reality show

In the following thesis we explore how reality is constructed and manipulated in reality shows, creating a distinct and often distorted representation of everyday life. Through an introduction of television formats, it will go on to discuss reality shows and how they are able to create a reality desired by television. Emblematic in this case is the dutch program “Big Brother” and the way it creates and manipulates characters within the show, influencing public perception and fueling social and cultural debates.

Nella seguente tesi si esplora come la realtà venga costruita e manipolata nei reality show, creando una rappresentazione distinta e spesso distorta della vita quotidiana. Attraverso una introduzione dei format televisivi si passerà a parlare dei reality show e di come questi siano in grado di creare una realtà voluta dalla televisione. Emblematico in questo caso è il programma olandese "Big Brother" e il modo in cui crea e manipola i personaggi all'interno dello show, influenzando la percezione del pubblico e alimentando dibattiti sociali e culturali.
