In the landscape of polymer chemistry, poly(2-alkyl-2-oxazoline)s (PAOXAs) have attracted increasing interest due to their interesting properties in terms of biocompatibility, mechano-chemical and thermal characteristics. Secondly, cyclic polymers have been shown to exhibit intriguing characteristics in comparison with their linear counterparts. The project will focus on the synthesis of PAOXA-based cyclic polymers. The synthesis of cyclic PAOXAs will take place via Cationic Ring Opening Polymerization (CROP) of 2-Alkyl-2-Oxazolines in such a way as to initially produce a linear polymer; cyclization will take place via Ring-Closure, by reacting the terminal functionalities of the polymer with each other via click chemistry. The polymers thus synthesized will be chemically characterized and the subject of future studies of conjugation with molecules of interest.

Abstract
The polymers thus synthesized will be chemically characterized and the subject of future studies of conjugation with molecules of interest.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
