Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among women. Although the exact causes are not entirely known, factors such as genetic predisposition, old age, family history, and lifestyle can increase the risk. The choice of therapies currently in use depends on the type and stage of the tumor, as well as the individual characteristics of the patient. Prevention plays an essential role in the fight against breast cancer. In fact, identifying and managing risk factors, along with participation in screening programs such as mammography and genetic counseling for individuals with a strong family history of breast cancer, can help detect the disease at an early stage, significantly improving treatment and survival prospects.
