This thesis investigates the positive aspects and inherent strengths of individuals with ADHD, alongside potential interventions designed to help manage their symptoms more effectively (Ramsay, 2010). Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) encompasses a spectrum of symptoms, including inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. These symptoms evolve over time, with their severity varying among individuals and influencing their functionality in diverse ways (Shelley-Tremblay, 1997; Ramsay, 2010). ADHD is a lifelong condition that impacts multiple areas of daily life. However, many studies suggest that it can also involve beneficial traits such as creativity, resilience, adaptability, and hyperfocus. By adopting a dimensional and lifelong approach, this thesis aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of ADHD, highlighting both its adaptive consequences and challenges across an individual's lifespan. This research includes the use of self-report scales from individuals with ADHD to investigate their perceived advantages and obstacles associated with the disorder. Recognizing these traits can inform more effective interventions and support strategies.

Abstract
Recognizing these traits can inform more effective interventions and support strategies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
