Il contatto intergruppi: una via per il processo di liberalizzazione cognitiva e il benessere psicologico

Intergroup Contact is a psychological construct that has been widely studied since the first half of the twentieth century. It has the power to shape ideologies and open up new ways of solving problems, acting as a liberalizing agent. Contact helps people understand that norms and traditions are not the only way to manage the social world, which can indeed be much more complex. The thesis aims to investigate the variables and effects of intergroup contact in the lives of individuals. This essay presents a survey conducted using a questionnaire on a group of 50 people. The analysis of the results and the subsequent conclusions will be presented.

Il Contatto Intergruppi è un costrutto psicologico, ampiamente studiato, fin dalla prima metà del Novecento: esso ha il potere di influenzare le ideologie e aprire a nuovi modi di risolvere i problemi, agendo da agente liberalizzante. Il contatto aiuta le persone a comprendere che le norme e le tradizioni non sono l'unico modo di gestire il mondo sociale, che infatti può essere molto più complesso. La tesi ha l'intento di indagare le variabili e gli effetti del contatto intergruppi nella vita di ogni individuo. Questo saggio presenta un'indagine avvenuta tramite l'utilizzo di un questionario self-report su un gruppo di 50 persone; verrà descritto e verranno presentate le analisi dei risultati e infine esposte le conseguenti conclusioni.
