This thesis aims to highlight the consequences that the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has had on the mental health of adolescents. In particular, it deals with a serious issue that has affected the younger population: the increase in admissions for ED (eating disorders) and how the influence of social media has affected mental well-being in adolescents. The paper is divided into three chapters. In the first, a description of the eating disorders Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating is given, in which the characteristic manifestations will be explained; in the second, the serious increase in ED during health emergencies, with a consequent increase in hospital admissions, will be highlighted, and the third chapter will conclude with an investigation of how the relationship with social media and the case of Tik Tok has a great impact on the lives of adolescents.
