The following thesis explores the role of inhibitory control in the development of behavioral disorders in children and proposes educational strategies to enhance this executive function. It examines the concept of inhibitory control, including its definition, key components, and assessment methods. Additionally, it considers how this function develops in both typical and psychopathological contexts. Specifically, it investigates the relationship between inhibitory control deficits and childhood behavioral disorders, with a particular focus on ADHD, conduct disorders, and oppositional defiant disorder, supported by empirical evidence showing how these deficits may contribute to problematic behaviors. Finally, it discusses the consequences of these deficits and suggests therapeutic strategies to improve inhibitory control in children.
