This paper explores the Tower of London Test, a neuropsychological instrument used to assess executive functions, particularly planning and problem-solving ability. Chapter 1 provides a detailed description of the test, illustrating its clinical and research use. It also offers a comparison of different versions of the test (particularly between the original Shallice version and the computerized version contained in CANTAB), highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each. In addition, the different scoring methodologies employed in the TOL are examined. Chapter 2, on the other hand, focuses on time measurement, distinguishing between pre-planning and execution times and presenting the main empirical results. Critical considerations on the interpretation of these data are also provided. Finally, Chapter 3 compares the test results in the general population with those obtained in specific clinical groups by discussing significant differences and offering a critical analysis of the data. In conclusion, this paper proposes an overview of the Tower of London Test, highlighting its applications, the importance of temporal measures in the assessment of executive functions, and the differences found between clinical and nonclinical populations.

Abstract
In conclusion, this paper proposes an overview of the Tower of London Test, highlighting its applications, the importance of temporal measures in the assessment of executive functions, and the differences found between clinical and nonclinical populations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
