The following paper will be built on three major themes closely related to the sexual revolution. The first chapter will have as its subject divorce in Italy. Here the Italian post-war context will be considered, followed by the emergence in the 1960s of protest movements pressing for a divorce law. The path of the Fortuna-Baslini law and the attempted repeal of the law will then be described, also taking in the public debate during that period. The conclusion of the chapter will feature a statistical look at divorces from the passage of the law in 1970 to the present. The second chapter will look at the issue of abortion in the Belpaese. Again, post-war Italy will be examined, this time looking at the phenomenon of clandestine abortion. Next, the history of Law 194 will be traced, and finally, we will look at the spread of conscientious objection. In the third and final chapter we will go on to examine the liberation and recognition of the rights of sexual minorities. To begin with, the birth of the homophile movement and the situation in the post-World War II period up to the emergence of the LGBTQ+ community in the United States and Italy will be covered. After that, we will focus on the issue of AIDS, and then look at legal achievements from the 1990s to the present, examining both statistical data and printed sources. The conclusion of the chapter is devoted to the issue of homoaffective families in Italy. The aim of this work is on the one hand to retrace some of the stages of the sexual revolution, but on the other hand it is intended to make it clear how the changes brought about by this "revolution" are still taking place and that history does not follow a linear path, so the rights won in recent decades can come under attack. In order to achieve the goals set, the historical analysis was enriched with the help of other disciplines. The readings used to construct this work are the result of specific and subjective choices. In addition, to reconstruct the public debate around a specific issue, printed sources came to the rescue. In fact, an attempt was made to use two newspapers with opposing political views to highlight different positions on an issue. The research showed that despite legislative achievements in recent decades, Italy still has serious legislative gaps. So, the battle for civil rights is not yet over, thus showing the topicality of the topic chosen for this thesis: the sexual revolution.

Abstract
The following paper will be built on three major themes closely related to the sexual revolution. The first chapter will have as its subject divorce in Italy. Here the Italian post-war context will be considered, followed by the emergence in the 1960s of protest movements pressing for a divorce law.
