La bibliothèque dans la littérature française: lieu d'écrivain, espace privé et personnage romanesque.

In this work devoted to the theme of the library, we will first analyze the place of the library and what has meant for writers: the different conceptions of this place, how is born the necessity to own a library, the organization of the library and how a library dies. In a second moment, we will examine the library in the novels and its role in the course of the story: it can be a place of background, but also an active character. We will study the different relationships between the characters and the place of the library. Finally, we will study a particular case of the role of the library and the book in a novel from today.

Dans ce travail consacré au thème de la bibliothèque, on analysera d’abord le lieu de la bibliothèque et ce qui a signifié pour les écrivains: le différentes conceptions de ce lieu, comment naît l’exigence de posséder une bibliothèque, l’organisation de la bibliothèque et comment meurt une bibliothèque. Dans un deuxième moment, on examinera la bibliothèque dans les romans et son rôle dans le déroulement de l’histoire: elle peut être un lieu d’arrière-plan, mais aussi un personnage actif. On étudiera les différentes relations entre les personnages et le lieu de la bibliothèque. Enfin, on étudiera un cas particulier du rôle de la bibliothèque et du livre dans un roman dès nos jours.
