This thesis analyzes the fundamental role of nutrition in dance practice by investigating how nutritional principles can influence the aesthetic standards, health and energy of dancers. The role of macronutrients and micronutrients in supporting the physical and mental needs of dancers is explored and the practice of nutritional periodization to optimize performance and recovery is discussed. Furthermore, the analysis extends to nutritional timing, examining how the moment of nutrient intake can influence performance and recovery during training sessions and performances, and to food supplementation as a support for a balanced and targeted diet. Thus, through a critical review of the scientific literature and practical strategies adopted in the field of dance, this thesis provides an integrated vision of how a well-planned diet can improve the well-being and effectiveness of dancers, contributing to a better understanding of the relationship between nutrition and artistic performance.

Abstract
This thesis analyzes the fundamental role of nutrition in dance practice by investigating how nutritional principles can influence the aesthetic standards, health and energy of dancers. The role of macronutrients and micronutrients in supporting the physical and mental needs of dancers is explored and the practice of nutritional periodization to optimize performance and recovery is discussed. Furthermore, the analysis extends to nutritional timing, examining how the moment of nutrient intake can influence performance and recovery during training sessions and performances, and to food supplementation as a support for a balanced and targeted diet. Thus, through a critical review of the scientific literature and practical strategies adopted in the field of dance, this thesis provides an integrated vision of how a well-planned diet can improve the well-being and effectiveness of dancers, contributing to a better understanding of the relationship between nutrition and artistic performance.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
