Evoluzione dell'Identità Digitale nell'Unione Europea

The European Union wants to ensure that all its citizens have a unique and accepted digital identity throughout Europe. In 2021 it published the specifications and requirements for the European digital identity wallet. A tool that will enable all EU residents to independently manage their digital identity, making them effectively sovereign over their digital data. This thesis will explore the ecosystem of the European digital identity wallet and the possible use cases in which it will be used. Finally, a compliance assessment will be conducted between some of the digital wallets in circulation and the specifications and requirements imposed by the Union for the European digital identity wallet.

L'Unione Europea vuole garantire a tutti i suoi cittadini un'identità digitale univoca e accettata in tutta Europa. Nel 2021 ha pubblicato le specifiche e i requisiti del portafoglio europeo di identità digitale. Uno strumento che permetterà a tutti i residenti dell'UE di gestire in autonomia la loro identità digitale, rendendoli effettivamente sovrani dei propri dati digitali. In questa tesi verrà approfondito l'ecosistema del portafoglio europeo di identità digitale e i possibili casi d'uso in cui verrà utilizzato. Infine verrà effettuata una valutazione di conformità tra alcuni dei portafogli digitali in circolazione e le specifiche e i requisiti imposti dall'Unione per il portafoglio europeo di identità digitale.
