This paper analyzes the status of currently known and declassified Stealth technology. Starting from the radar equation and the definition of the Radar Cross Section, it presents a comprehensive physical analysis of the characteristics that contribute to increasing the visibility of an aircraft. Methodologies aimed at mitigating the visibility are subsequently discussed, with a particular focus on geometric considerations and the implementation of RAM materials. This paper finally presents examples of prominent stealth aircraft models like the B2 and F117A, drawing attention to the structural and aerodynamic compromises inherent to their design.
Quest'elaborato si prefigge di analizzare lo stato della tecnologia Stealth attualmente nota e declassificata. Partendo dall'equazione del radar e dalla definizione di Radar Cross Section, si discute attraverso un'analisi fisica le caratteristiche che rendono un velivolo ad alta osservabilità, quindi i metodi per ridurla, in particolare attraverso la geometria e i materiali RAM. Si conclude poi con esempi di velivoli stealth come il B2 e F117A per mettere in evidenza i compromessi strutturali e aerodinamici.
